The first ones decorated more than 4.5 million windows across Russia with symbols of the Great Victory

The Movement of the First together with "YUNARMIYA" and Rosdettsentr summed up the results of the memorable All-Russian action "Victory Windows". It is aimed at preserving the historical memory of the heroism and feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and uniting citizens around national values. The campaign was held not only in Russia, but also in many countries around the world.
"The action of the First "Victory Windows" Movement united millions of people in Russia and abroad. Residents of different countries, on different continents, who share the historical truth about the Great Victory decorated more than 4.5 million windows of homes, educational organizations, public spaces and businesses. We will carry the memory of the heroism of our people through the centuries and will never allow the rehabilitation of Nazism, " said Hero of Russia, participant of the presidential program "Time of Heroes", Chairman of the Board of the Movement of the First Artur Orlov.
"Victory Windows" appeared in all regions of Russia. Employees of federal and regional departments, heads of regions, educational, cultural and health institutions, and large companies took part in the campaign. So, the action was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and others. Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Transport Roman Starovoit, and Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Olga Petrova discussed the importance of youth participation in patriotic events with the First participants.
"I would like to wish all participants of the Victory Windows campaign to remember its significance. It is held in memory of the Victory of our people in the Great Patriotic War, and we celebrate 80 years from this significant day. We will always honor the war heroes, home front workers who gave us life. It is important that every family retains the memory of the war. In all schools, we pay attention to patriotic education – we hold various actions, including "Immortal Regiment", " said Russian Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov.
"Victory Windows" was decorated by the State Duma of Russia and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). The action was supported by the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography (Rosreestr), the Russian Judo Federation, Russian Student Groups, the All-Russian Student Rescue Corps and other state and public organizations.
Large companies and enterprises became partners of the Movement of the First: Roscosmos State Corporation, Russian Railways, Ostrov Fortov Museum and Historical Park, and others. So, the first ones decorated with commemorative stencils the windows of the WEB Center, the Russian State Children's Library, the Institute "First Media Academy" of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, the buildings of the Morozovskaya State Library and the Opora Rossii LLC. Victory Windows also appeared on the Sun of Moscow Ferris Wheel booths at VDNKh and at Rosneft gas stations.
Children and adults from all regions of the country took part in the action of the Movement. They decorated the windows of homes, apartments, schools, universities and businesses. Adults introduced the younger generation to the historical truth and helped preserve the memory of the Great Victory.
In the Ryazan region, "Victory Windows" were decorated with the Ryazan State Historical and Architectural Museum-Reserve, in the Kirov Region-a children's clinical hospital, and in the Pskov Region – the Regional Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Thanks to the participants of the Movement, adults and children can see commemorative stencils on buses in the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as on trains in the Sakhalin region. Also, the First participants of the SVO joined them: together they decorated with symbols of Victory institutions of additional education in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a school in the Omsk region and Lokomotiv Arena in the Novosibirsk region.
"The drawings that we place on the windows are not just decorations, they are a symbol of our memory of the feat of the people who won the Great Victory 80 years ago. Being the descendants of real heroes is a great pride and we must preserve the memory of them, and most importantly-pass it on to the next generations. Every image that we have placed on the windows of our homes, kindergartens, schools, universities, cultural centers, youth centers is a boundless gratitude to those who stood up for the defense of the Motherland, " said Darina Resnyanskaya, a member of the Movement from the Luhansk People's Republic.
The memorial action of the Movement of the First went beyond the borders of Russia: it was joined by compatriots from almost 90 countries of the world. Victory Windows has been launched in India, Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, the United States, Armenia, Iran, Tajikistan, Zambia, Nicaragua, Jordan, Tanzania, Kyrgyzstan and other countries. And during the "Holding Hands!" tour in Russia, artists of the Chinese Youth Choir also took part in the action and together with the First Ones decorated the windows of the Library of Foreign Literature with symbols of the Great Patriotic War.
"Participation in the Victory Windows is a way to honor the memory of those who gave their lives for our freedom. The campaign promotes unity, we can prepare together, exchange ideas and inspiration. This creates an atmosphere of unity and friendship. Participation in this campaign allows young people to better understand the history of their country and appreciate the peaceful sky above their heads. By joining the campaign, we not only express our gratitude to the defenders of our Motherland, but also create an atmosphere of celebration and unity," said Ekaterina Nesinova, a member of the Movement from the Kursk region.
The Movement of the First developed more than 30 versions of stencils with Victory symbols: St. George's ribbons, carnations, pigeons, images of famous monuments such as" Rzhevsky Memorial to the Soviet Soldier "and"Alyosha". Especially for the 80th anniversary of the Victory, a stencil was created with the image of the monument "Motherland calls! "and the inscription"80 Victory!".
The First Ones were able to create these and other stencils at special master classes that took place in all the primary departments of the First Movement. Within a few weeks, about 120 thousand master classes were held in all regions of the country, and more than 2 million people took part in them.
