Creative auditions for participants of the annual Patriotic Performance Festival, which is held as part of the flagship project "School Classics", have been completed in 12 regions of Russia. On the eve of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a series of theatrical performances will be held in 14 cities of the country, the script of which the First Ones compiled from real stories of veterans. More than a thousand young artists from all over the country took part in the auditions. A professional jury approved more than 700 of them for the main and secondary roles.
Festival " Classics of Victory. Memory of Generations "is held for the second year in a row by participants of the main theater project of the Movement of the First "School Classics". They perform in Hero Cities and Cities of military glory with a performance that the project participants, together with directors and other mentors, make up according to a single scenario.
"In the year of the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the Movement of the First will present a new theatrical production based on the real stories of veterans of the Great Patriotic War collected by the participants of the Movement. This is an important contribution of the Former to the preservation of the historical memory of our Victory, an opportunity to once again remind the new generation how important it is to prevent the rehabilitation of Nazism. We selected more than 700 young artists from all regions of the country. They will present performances in 14 cities bearing the honorary titles of "Hero City"and" City of Military Glory". More than 10 thousand people will be able to become viewers of revived memories. I am convinced that the creation of works based on the stories of eyewitnesses to the heroic events of our past will become a source of inspiration and a good tradition for participants in the creative direction of the First Movement, " said Artur Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the First Movement.
This year's Festival will be held from May 6 to 11 in 14 Russian cities with the honorary titles of "Hero City" and "City of Military Glory": Moscow, Novorossiysk, Murmansk, Smolensk, Veliky Novgorod, Pskov, Feodosia, Arkhangelsk, Vladivostok, Vladikavkaz, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Tver, Tuapse and others. Auditions were held in each of the 12 regions of the country where these cities are located. At the auditions, the directors selected from 50 to 150 young artists, paying attention, first of all, to the motivation of participants in children's and youth creative groups. During the rehearsals of the performance, children will be able to develop their dramatic, vocal and choreographic skills. In just a month, more than a thousand people came to auditions across the country.

«Наш фестиваль – это один из самых важных проектов, которые сейчас существуют, потому что его цель – воспитать то поколение, которое о войне ничего не знает. Нам важно показать глубинную связь поколений и важность памяти, победу над фашизмом. Это должно быть генетически передано из поколения
в поколение, чтобы не совершать ошибки западных наций. В этом году участники Движения Первых покажут не просто истории Великой Отечественной войны,
а поделятся реальными событиями из жизни наших ветеранов. В мае все они вместе с семьями придут на наши спектакли и для нас это особенная честь и сложность», – подчеркнул Андрей Цветков-Толбин.
Приуроченный к особой дате спектакль этого года построен на историях ветеранов Великой Отечественной войны, которые собрали и творчески переработали участниками Движения. Во время работы над сценарием Первые прикоснулись к живым историям о войне, зафиксировали воспоминания ее геров, из первых рук узнали, что переживали солдаты и их родственники, увидели реликвии, а также смогли примерить на себя роли защитников страны тех лет. Эта деятельность способствует развитию гражданских чувств, укреплению уважения к истории Родины и воспитанию в подрастающем поколении любви к своему Отечеству.
